This form allows Registered apprenticeship program (RAP) employers/contractors to submit their name, contact information, and eligibility status to Apprenticeship Colorado (State Apprenticeship Agency) to be included in the Certified Contractor List.
Background:
Apprenticeship Colorado is required in statute (Colo. Rev. Stat. § 40-3.2-105.5; 40-3.2-105.6; 40-42-107) to maintain a Certified Contractor List to verify contractors (registered apprenticeship program employer partners) in applicable occupations for eligibility for certain contracts and rebates. The Certified Contractor List is a designation to verify employer participation in quality RAPs for the purposes of eligibility to bid on state, electric utility, and gas DSM contracts and for certain energy rebates.
In order for employer partners of RAPs be eligible for inclusion in the Certified Contractor List, employers must meet the following criteria for each registered occupation for which they provide on-the-job learning to registered apprentices:
- Must have an Employer Agreement (Appendix D) with a registered apprenticeship program (RAP) Sponsor to provide on-the-job learning (OJL) for registered apprentices
- The occupation for which the employer is providing OJL must have a proven record of completing a minimum of 15% of apprentices within applicable occupations for at least 3 of the past 5 years
- Note: Beginning July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2031, the minimum completion rate will increase to 20% of apprentices.
- RAP Sponsors must ensure the RAP has registered the employer in the Registered Apprenticeship Partners Information Data System (RAPIDS), which is a data system used by every RAP Sponsor to register and maintain their RAP.
